Here at United Way of Eastern Maine, we're working to create lasting change by mobilizing the caring power of our communities toward the effects of a better education, improved financial standing, and a higher quality of health for our neighbors.
Many people who live and work in Eastern Maine face tough challenges on a daily basis - some may not know where their next meal is coming from, while others have a strong need for a Mentor, Tutor, or Reader. The need for a helping hand is not limited to adults either. There are young children who do not have enough food on the weekend and are going hungry.
